Summertime at “Inn” Between the Lakes (Late June – Mid August)

Summer in Michigan to some means going to the crowded beaches and standing in line with the other tourists to stake out their place in the sand or to others it’s a chance to travel off the beaten path and enjoy the inland lakes and parks! You’ll have a chance to explore nature in the heart of river country. As the name implies, T&R “Inn” Between the Lakes is located between 7 different “inland” lakes. We are also located near the Latvian Cultural Center, area Lake Camps, and is the perfect destination for small family reunions; about half way between Chicago and Detroit.

Explore the Flower Beds

Flower beds, rock gardens, and orchids
Toy’s passion is in “full bloom” in the summer months. Toy loves to share her flowers with the guests. The landscape changes every year at T&R as Toy and Ric create new gardens and enhance the grounds. This year’s major project includes among other things, creating a terrace in back with a split stone walls in preparation for our garden weddings beginning in 2016. Also in preparation for Spring 2017 we are restoring the century old Barn on the property anticipating its use for barn weddings and special events.

We Cater to Campers

Latvian Cultural Center, Camp Eberhart, Camp Tavor, and Camp Wakeshma
Are you visiting your kids at camp, dropping off, picking up, or maybe staying all week?

T&R is just 1 mile from Garezers, less than a mile from Eberhart and Wakeshma and less than 4 miles from camp Tabor.

Sorry, we don’t usually reserve single night weekend stays during the summer. However, we do accept one night same week bookings when rooms are available. Call us if you want to stay close, check Trip Advisor for last minute discounts!

Powerchuting

Enjoy a soft cruise above everything. Summer is a great time for powerchuting!
Rouche Outdoor offers demo and instructional rides on powerchutes. A powered parachute is one of the safest aircraft you can fly. You can learn to fly for far less than you probably thought. It’s slower than typical aircraft, about 28 to 30 MPH, so the view of the lakes is fantastic!

Biking and Hiking

Mountain biking, on-road cycling, trails, and exciting routes.
Without a doubt, biking and hiking are still popular summer activities!

There are numerous bicycle trails and routes to choose from and trail maps are available for both on and off-road. From road tours taking in sights like the Langley Covered Bridge to Mountain bikers enjoying the offroad trails at nearby Dr. TK Lawless Park. Bikers will love riding in River Country!

Don’t forget the onsite paths behind the Inn, or the trails winding through the old growth hardwood forests leading to Mt. Misery
